An efficient and secure way to handle back up contracts, receipts, invoices, bills and a slew of other documents related to your accounting file is to utilize the Xero Files Library.
Locate and click/tap the folder icon on the upper right section of the ever-present navigation bar to take you to the Library
- Drag and drop, or use the 'Upload Files' button to bring files on your computer or tablet into the library
- Take a picture with your iOS or Android device, use the Xero app and add
- Email a file into your Xero file library by sending it to your specific assigned email address (found in the upper right section of the Files Library). I recommend downloading the vcard and adding it o your email contacts
- Add folders to help keep you organized.
You can upload the following types of files that are less than 25 MB in size:
From each file you can add it to an invoice, bill, expense claim, spend money or receive money transaction. Once the transaction is created, your file will be attached to that transaction.
