Welcome all Xero nerds, SMB’s, and bookkeeping newbies!

Welcome all Xero nerds, SMB’s, and bookkeeping newbies!

You are amongst friends.

Earlier this month we launched our new website (thank you Paper Tiger and Brand Spoken). It only seemed fitting that our inaugural blog let you know who is behind team MATAX.

Dawn, started the company to help others shine and grow businesses doing what they love by providing accounting services for small businesses.

Clients love her because she listens, is patient and always knows the best accounting online and small business cloud tools.

Her fellow team members love her because she is witty, kind, a great teacher and has travelled to 6 of the 7 continents.

Julie, Operations Director, is both taskmaster and motivator.  She keeps us all in line while making sure we never take ourselves too seriously.

Clients love her because she is knowledgeable, approachable and won’t stop until every question is answered and every need taken care of.

Her fellow team members love her because she is always available, is queen of add-on integrations and can never be stumped when it comes to Duran Duran trivia.  She also gets bonus points for her drum skills.

Adrienne, Staff Accountant, began climbing the corporate ladder with her Accounting degree, specializing in field service and construction industries.  She loves job costing (no, really… loves it)!  She is a midwest girl who spends time away from the computer chasing after her young son and daughter with her husband.  She also enjoys the company of a 75lb rescued “lap dog.”

Clients love her because she is continually working to improve workflow by reducing the amount of time they need to spend on gathering info.  She keeps things in order and has quickly developed acumen for retail accounting.

Her fellow team members love her because is the first to greet us each day, immediately jumps in when someone needs help and is proving herself as queen of the emoji.

Nikki, Staff Accountant, comes to us from Ernst & Young (read:fancy!) and has a keen sense for the forensic side of accounting. When not improving her accounting tools skillset, Nikki loves reading books on the link between genetics and personality, and, not surprisingly, she is a big fan of the Big Bang Theory.

Clients love her because, as a small business owner herself, she provides personal insight to the importance of accounting tools and professional bookkeeping services. She takes complex accounting needs and breaks them into easy accounting systems anyone can maintain.

Her fellow team members love her because she is open, silly and has recently learned the game of laser tag (uh oh!).

As our team continues to grow we will be highlighting client tales, bookkeeping tips, accounting solutions and the occasional peek behind what makes MATAX a leader in small business accounting services (hint: it’s the people).  Next time.....how did you come up with the name MATAX?

And, in the weeks to come  - Project accounting tips for the Professional Services company. Challenges and solutions for retail accounting. When you need to engage professional accounting service.
